“Hyperion [Exp. IV / doc]: gaia rising, gaia falling” is the documentation of the two-month experiment “Hyperion [Exp. IV / ⌇365nm ≣ 120μm]: rising / falling”. The interaction of the visitors with the installation simultaneously caused the decay and growth of the biotopes in the experimental arrangement. What remains are crumbling stone paper and traces of soil in which plants once grew. In the exhibition with the ambivalent title “Nach dem Winter taut der Schnee" (after winter snow thaws) it remains open whether this relates to dystopian thinking and the desperate attempt to build on crumbling foundations or whether it is about not giving up despite the decay and believing in utopia.
